Superlative technological standards, high levels of efficiency and production quality.
Coca-Cola, the corporate of the world’s largest industry in the beverage sector, has established its new Headquarters in Quito, Ecuador, in 2010. The new plant has been built in the city Machachi, south of Quito, and it is the second largest in Latin America.
This new complex incorporates superlative technological standards and the highest levels of efficiency and production quality to better respond to the growing demand of the Ecuadorian market and support the growth of the company in South America. Thus creating value for its shareholders, employees and customers.
The project was carried out with the Emmedue Advanced Building System, a cutting-edge technology that responds to the most diverse architectural requirements, ensuring compliance with building regulations and significantly reducing the environmental impact.
The structure was designed with a large window along the whole facade that maximizes the natural light inside the offices. This design was implemented by virtue of the fact that the Emmedue Building System is extremely versatile. In fact, the System is compatible with other building systems, which makes it possible to integrate the Emmedue panels with different construction elements, such as glass in this case.
The particular shape that was given to the building was made possible thanks to the use of the non-prefabricated Emmedue panel, in expanded polystyrene.
Emmedue panels cover the complete range of building elements; they are very easy to handle and can be made in many shapes, both flat and curved, performing simple cuts of the elements on site.
The use of the Emmedue Building System has made it possible to achieve a significant improvement in terms of energy savings, saving up to 40% of CO2 emissions during the construction and up to 65% during the normal use of the building.
